How to use it

  1. Paste or type a mathematical expression in the source panel.
  2. Keep input on auto detect, or choose the source format manually.
  3. Choose the output format, review the status message, then copy the result.

Supported formats

Nitrax Math Translator supports a practical subset of LaTeX, Unicode Math, AsciiMath, MathML and Word Equation or UnicodeMath notation. It is built for notation conversion, not natural-language interpretation.

Conversion limits

Some conversions are lossy. Plain Unicode cannot always preserve stacked fractions, aligned equations, cases or matrices. Unicode input may not contain enough structure to recreate the original LaTeX exactly.

FAQ

What formats does Nitrax Math Translator support?

It supports deterministic conversion across a practical subset of LaTeX, Unicode Math, AsciiMath, MathML and Word Equation or UnicodeMath notation.

Do I need an account?

The translator works without an account. Format preferences and recent conversions stay in the browser on the current device.

Does it turn English sentences into equations?

No. Nitrax Math Translator converts mathematical notation formats. It does not interpret natural-language prompts or use AI to guess equations.

Why are some conversions marked approximate?

Plain Unicode and Word-style linear notation cannot always preserve stacked fractions, matrices, cases, alignment or the exact source structure. The tool marks those cases before you copy.

Can I paste the Word output into Microsoft Word?

Yes, for supported expressions. Open a Word equation with Alt + =, then paste the copied Word Equation or UnicodeMath result.

Type math symbols directly when you write

Nitrax Math Translator helps you move notation between formats. Nitrax Mathematical Keyboard is the compact physical keyboard with printed blue and gray symbol layers for typing mathematical, Greek and scientific symbols in everyday writing apps.
