Nitrax Mathematical Keyboard Extension Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 25, 2026

This privacy policy applies to the Nitrax Mathematical Keyboard Chrome extension. Nitrax Mathematical Keyboard is primarily a compact physical keyboard with printed mathematical, Greek, and scientific symbols. The Chrome extension is an optional companion for typing those symbols in supported browser text fields.

Short version

The extension stores only one local setting: whether the extension is Enabled or Disabled. It does not collect analytics, browsing history, typed text, form contents, passwords, payment information, or personal information.

Information the extension stores

The extension stores the local Enabled or Disabled setting using Chrome local storage. This setting stays in the user’s Chrome browser profile on the device.

This setting is not synced through a Google account by the extension, and it is not sent to Nitrax servers.

Information the extension does not collect

The Nitrax Mathematical Keyboard Chrome extension does not collect, store, sell, or transmit:

  • typed text;
  • form contents;
  • passwords;
  • payment information;
  • browsing history;
  • analytics events;
  • personal information.

Clipboard

The extension does not request clipboard permissions. It does not read, overwrite, restore, or monitor the user’s clipboard.

When a supported Nitrax key combination is used inside a supported editable field, the extension inserts the matching symbol directly into that field.

Permissions

The extension uses the Chrome storage permission to save the local Enabled or Disabled setting.

The extension runs on web pages so it can detect whether the active target is an editable field and insert a symbol only when an exact Nitrax Mathematical Keyboard key combination is used.

Browser-only limits

The extension works only inside Chrome and only in supported browser editing fields, such as standard inputs, textareas, and many contenteditable areas.

Chrome does not allow extensions to type into the browser address bar. Some web apps, including Google Docs document bodies, use custom editors that may not accept normal extension text insertion. For those workflows, the desktop Nitrax Mathematical Keyboard software may be the better option.

Remote servers and third parties

The extension does not send typed content, browsing history, or the Enabled or Disabled setting to Nitrax servers.

The extension does not include advertising trackers or analytics trackers.

Children’s privacy

The extension is not designed to collect information from anyone, including children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new updated date.
