How to use Nitrax Equation Editor
- Choose Math Symbols for ordinary text with Unicode characters, or Equation Builder for stacked and multi-level notation.
- Type directly, search by symbol name or meaning, then insert symbols or editable structures at the cursor.
- Copy the result in the format your destination accepts, or export a formatted equation as SVG or PNG.
Unicode symbols and formatted equations
Unicode is best for mathematical text that should behave like ordinary characters, such as x² ≥ 4 or θ ∈ A. Formatted equations use a structure that can place a numerator over a denominator, bounds around an integral, or values inside a matrix.
Copying formulas into Word
For a structured formula, copy the LaTeX, open an equation field in Word with Alt + =, and paste it into a Word version that accepts LaTeX equation input. SVG and PNG are available when you need a fixed visual result.
Using formulas in Google Docs
Unicode text can be pasted directly into a document. For structured notation, use Google Docs’ equation controls for supported commands, or insert the exported PNG when the exact visual layout matters.
Privacy by design
No account is required. Unfinished text, equations, favorites and history stay in local browser storage. Equation content, LaTeX and symbol-search terms are not sent to analytics.
Write math directly in every application
Nitrax Equation Editor helps you prepare and copy equations. The Nitrax Mathematical Keyboard is a physical keyboard built for typing mathematical and scientific symbols directly inside Word, Google Docs, PowerPoint, ChatGPT and more.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. The editor works without an account and saves unfinished work locally on the current device.
Can it build real fractions and matrices?
Yes. Equation Builder creates editable multi-level structures including fractions, roots, integrals with bounds, matrices, determinants, systems and piecewise functions.
What is the best copy format?
Use Unicode for ordinary text, LaTeX for compatible equation fields and publishing systems, MathML for systems that accept mathematical markup, and SVG or PNG for a fixed visual result.
Does the editor solve equations?
No. It is a writing and formatting tool. It does not calculate answers or solve mathematical problems.
What happens if the formatted editor cannot load?
Math Symbols continues to work independently. Saved Unicode text remains available, and the LaTeX value stored locally is not removed.
